Michan Architecture

Architecture, Interiors, Installations

Based in Mexico City, Michan Architecture is recognized as one of North America’s top emerging architecture firms with a portfolio of housing, hospitality, and cultural projects.

Working across scales, the firm’s portfolio includes three cultural pavilions as part of Scenic Garden in Chapultepec Park, winner of Expansión’s 2024 Most Innovative Project and Architectural Digest México and Latin America’s 2025 Best Architecture and Landscape project; C294 Apartments, a strategic commercial-to-residential adaptive reuse with connection to nature; and several restaurants, such as OKU and HIYA, among others.

Recent and current projects include three bungalows on Mexico’s Pacific Coast and the adaptive reuse of a commercial building into short-term stay apartments with two anchor tenants, a restaurant and shop.

Expanding their multifamily residential portfolio, Michan Architecture has 5+ projects in design and construction phases, including their tallest building in Mexico City.

Invited to and pursuing new projects internationally, Michan Architecture is currently designing their first project in the U.S., a 20,000+ square foot building for a hospitality company.

Michan Architecture and their projects are recognized internationally by the Architectural League of New York, Architectural Record’s ‘Design Vanguard,’ ARCHITECT’s Progressive Architecture P/A Award, and the American Architecture Prize, among others. In 2025, the firm was named one of Mexico’s Top 30 Architecture Firms by Architizer and a finalist in the ‘Adaptive Reuse’ category as part of the AZURE AZ Awards.
